Deal or No Deal Review
You may already be familiar with the TV show of the same name. Deal or No Deal game is based on this show, where you can try your luck and win $1 million in a briefcase. You can win an iPad or TV almost every day, by beating the Banker. Are you ready to test your savvy?
Graphics and Sound 7/10
The truth is the TV shows is way better than the game. Howie Mandel, the original host of the show, was transformed into its cartoonish version. And the transformation probably did not come out as it was planned. He looks a poor version of himself with creepy hands who caught some deadly disease and on the last stage of it still struggling to bring you the joy. His pretty model-like assistants who bring him briefcases look more like mannequins with facial muscles frozen in time. The studio on the background still looks good. The soundtracks are good and taken from the original show.
Despite all the gaps in graphics, the controls are pretty simple here. While you are actually guessing which suitcase to choose and hoping it will bring you a victory, you have to tap on the option you believe will lead you to success. That is it. There is not much to learn. And actually, if you are familiar with the whole concept of the game, you don’t even need a tutorial. Just follow the host and do whatever you like.
The gameplay is simple to understand. Many gamers who did not watch TV show may find it plain, but it still catches your attention with the big prize promised in the end. It is hard to lose in the game as well.
There are two special modes in the game, besides the main scenario. In one of them, you have to guess the safe combination and it looks like Mastermind, and another one is similar to High-Low with briefcases. They are not hosted by Howie.
The biggest disappointment here is that the game does not save your results. You don’t see any chart with your previous victories. Once you have done with the game, you can print screen your results or memorize and brag about it to your friends, with no actual proof.
Lasting Appeal 9/10
You can go back to the game again and again. If you are a fan of the show, you will like to make guesses. It distracts from daily routine and brings some joy when you win the prize. Just relax and concentrate on the game.
Deal or No Deal is a game for the true fans of the show. You can feel yourself in the TV show where everything is depending on your guessing abilities. Try to win $1 million briefcase or other valuable prizes. See what you are capable of.
